Biographical / Historical
California Journal was a monthly publication dedicated to California politics and public policy issues. In 1970, founders Vic Fazio, Thomas Hoeber and Jerome Evans published the first edition of the journal. From 1990 to 2003, it was operated by State Net. It eventually ceased publication in 2005 due to financial issues.
During it's time of operation, California Journal had many writers and editors, including Lou Cannon, former senior White House correspondent of the Washington Post. In addition, many artists contributed their political cartoons to the journal.
