Scope and Contents
This subseries includes articles, notes, and pamphlets regarding women’s health issues, including breast cancer, breast implants, tobacco and cigarettes, genital self-examination (GSE), reproductive rights, Toxic Shock Syndrome, medical research, self-help, hormone replacement therapy, and family planning rights. There are some handwritten notes from Miles about these issues in the framework of the patriarchy. There are also a number of letters and legal documents regarding a suit against Planned Parenthood family planning from 1985 (Planned Parenthood vs. Swoap, Los Angeles, CA).
